Claude “Slugger” Zelmar Trask, Jr. of Fairland, OK passed away Tuesday April 17, 2012 at his home. He was 58.

Slugger was born December 26, 1953 in Miami, OK to Claude Zelmar and Janice (Nichols) Task, Sr. He had lived in the area all his life, graduation from Miami High School in 1972 and serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Bass Holes of Grand Lake, VFW and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents, a Brother Michael Joe “Skipper” Trask
