Betty L. King of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Friday June 22, 2012 at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, MO. She was 78.

Mrs. King was born February 21, 1934 in McDonald County, Missouri to Sam and Pauline (Casteel) Fry.

She had worked with her husband and son in the King Insurance Business for many years. She was a member of the Letters and Arts, Pilot Club, Friends of the Coleman, Jaycees, she was a council woman for the city of Miami and was on the Board of Directors for NOCA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richie King on October 27, 1994.

Survivors includes 2 Sons Holly King and wife Sherry of Corinth, TX Michael King of Miami, OK 1 Daughter Resa Mann and husband Allen of Orlando, FL 4 Sisters Lois Matthews of Laken, Kansas Leota Viergever and husband Tony of Grove, OK Vonda Hassab and husband Vic of Sarasota, FL Lee Butler and husband Ed of Carl Junction, MO 7 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services will be Tuesday June 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Miami, OK. Brother Bobby Key and Brother DJ Castoe will officiate. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK.
