Pixie E. McCray of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Thursday June 28, 2012 at her home in Miami. She was 83.
She was born in Strang, Oklahoma on May 31, 1929 to Lewis and LaVaughn (Landrum) Thompson. She graduated from Strang High School in 1946. She moved to the Miami area in the mid 50’s coming from Strang. She has been a beautician for more than 50 years and owned and operated Pixie Ann’s Salon in Miami for 45 years. She is of the Christian faith and a member of First Christian Church in Miami.
She is preceded by her parents, her first husband Maxwell (Dick) Hatcher, her second husband Frank McCray.
She is survived by one son Richard Hatcher, one daughter Pixie Ann King and husband Richard and is survived by one sister Maricia McCoy and husband Sam. She is also Survived by four grandchildren Rebecca Hatcher, Wade King, Kelsey King, Sydney King and one great grandchild Nicholas Modine.
Services will be held at 10:00am Monday July 2, 2012 at First Christian Church in Miami, Oklahoma. Pastor Leon Weece will officiate. Interment will be at Glen Abby Memorial Gardens east of Miami. Pallbearers will be Richard Hatcher, Richard King, Wade King, Randy Kostelecky, Larry Kruse and Brad King. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-6pm at the funeral home.
